Official OnePlus 3 camera samples reveal a compelling camera

The OnePlus 3 has just gone official with a bit of a shaky announcement. However, the third time is the charm with the OnePlus 3. This time around, the company is doing away with the invite system altogether which is great news for customers as they won’t need to wait around for months praying that an invitation will pop up in their inboxes.

The OnePlus 3 has a compelling camera if the camera samples posted speak for the newly announced phone. The optical hardware includes a 16MP Sony IMX298 rear sensor which is well equipped with OIS, phase detection AF, LED flash and 4k recording capabilities.

The front camera on the OnePlus 3 is an 8MP Sony IMX179 sensor which can capture 1080p video and features electronic image stabilization for clearer selfies.

The camera samples posted on the OnePlus site look really great. Lines are sharp, colors are vibrant, details are abundant, and noise is kept at a minimum, with the exception of one or two shots of the bunch. Otherwise, the photos are also pretty well exposed.

If these samples really speak for the phone’s camera and its experience then it must really be a contender to the like of this year’s major flagships like the Galaxy S7, LG G5, and HTC 10.

Check out the samples below.
