OnePlus One gets July security update, Samsung flagships to follow suit soon

OnePlus One is getting a new Cyanogen firmware update, which contains the July security fixes for its Android OS.

The OTA upgrade file weighs about 277MB and you can get it right now. There are no new features, just security fixes as expected.

In other news, Samsung announced it has finished with the new firmware updates for its flagship Galaxy lineup. While the manufacturer was mum on the list of exact models, it detailed the new OTA updates will integrate the Android July security patches, as well as a few fixes for Samsung’s TouchWiz.

The new Samsung updates are not yet available, probably because of some approval or testing process, but since the official news is out, we guess those updates should begin to pop up any moment now.
