BITSAT Cutoff Trend Over The Past Few Years

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, commonly known as BITS is one of the reputed colleges in India. For Engineering, BITS ranks among the top 20 institutes in India. Every year the competition to get into the college is very intense. There is a special examination conducted called BITSAT that every individual needs to give along with their board exams to get an admission into BITS.

BITSAT 2019 will be conducted tentatively in the third week of May. While the application forms will be available from the third week of December. The result for the exam will be released by the end of May and subsequent counselling will start from June 1st week.

Every year there are thousands of students that apply for BITS. That is why it is important to know the Cutoff for the exam. This helps in better preparation for the exam. The admission committee of the BITS releases the Cutoff every year. The admission is given to those students who meet the criteria of this Cutoff.

Factors for Determining BITSAT Cutoff

There is some basis on which the admission committee decides the cut-off for BITSAT every year. These factors affect the Cutoff of every campus. The factors mentioned below are added up to get a final Cutoff score.

  • The criteria for previous year Cutoff
  • The number of seats available
  • The total number of candidates that are appearing for the exam
  • Level of difficulty of the exam
  • The aggregate or the total marks scored by all the students appearing for the exam

Here is the Cutoff for the six iteration rounds of last year

As you can notice, there is not much difference in the cutoff marks after the 1st round till the 4th round. These rounds are an indication to the number of seats that are still not filled in the respective campus. Thus, prepare for the BITSAT, based on these cutoff marks.
