Samsung and AT&T just unveiled the carrier-exclusive Galaxy S7 active. The rugged version of the Galaxy S7 keeps the flagship’s internals, but under a robust shell, that’s not afraid of the elements.
The Galaxy S7 active touts a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The 5.1″ QHD display is shatter-resistant thanks to an added layer of polycarbonate and the added bulk in the phone’s design is in parts thanks to the 4,000mAh battery inside.

The Galaxy S7 active also has a fingerprint scanner in the home button – a first for the tough sub-family of devices.
AT&T will launch the Galaxy S7 active sales on June 10 with monthly prices similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge’s. If you choose the carrier’s Next plan, the phone will cost you $26.50/month, while the Next Every Year plan will bump the price to $33.13/month. You can choose from three available colors: Sandy Gold, Camo Green and Titanium Gray. SIM-free prices are yet to be announced.
