T-Mobile has confirmed that it has stopped selling BlackBerry’s debut Android smartphonePriv through its website. The confirmation came in the form of a reply to a customer’s question on Twitter.
What’s worth stressing here is that the magenta carrier’s tweet says “not currently,” meaning the device could be back in future. Anyway, the development has come barely six months after T-Mobile started carrying the phone.
The reason behind the move is currently unknown, although it could be related to the handset’s dwindling sales – recently, an AT&T executive said that BlackBerry Priv “is really struggling,” adding that “we’ve seen more returns than we would like.”
