Samsung Z2 goes official with quad-core CPU, 3.97-inch display

As expected, the Samsung Z2 has been official, making it the third Tizen-powered smartphone to hit the market. The device is powered by a Spreadtrum chipset with quad-core processor, and sports a 3.97-inch display.

RAM is 1GB, while internal memory is 8GB. A 1,500mAh battery is there to keep the lights on. In terms of camera, the phone features a 5MP rear unit and a VGA front shooter. It runs Tizen 2.4and also offers support for 4G LTE connectivity.

The Z2 comes with an app called My Money Transfer that lets you easily transfer money from one bank account to another. In addition, there’s also the S Bike Mode as well as support for 12 regional languages.

Coming to price, the Samsung Z2 carries a tag of INR 4,590 (around $70), something which we already know. Available in gold, black and red wine color options, the device will be up for grabs in India starting August 29, with retailer PayTM handling online sales.
